Decline bench BL106. The incline bench press differs from the traditional bench press in that the bench is lowered or tilted to a lower angle, usually between 15 and 30 degrees. The key attribute of the incline bench press is that it targets the lower chest more than the horizontal or incline bench press. The incline bench press is considered safer than the traditional bench press because it takes the load off the shoulders and places more of the load on the lower chest.
